We Must Defend Our Interests

Writer David E. Sanger had some interesting points on President Obama's term thus far. Looking into the past, we find George W. Bush leading our nation into a multitude of conflicts. By withdrawing our attack on Syria we find our president back on course with his original values back in sight. 

He has made difficult choices thus far i.e Saddam assassination in attempts to "defend our interests." However, "our" interests do not involve policing the world. We are a social, civilized communicative group. We are seeking to better ourselves before helping others; and until now, was forgotten by our leader. Aware of the fact or not, Obama was persuaded by the very issues he sought to end. 

Now that he is back on track we may see what he can do with the time he has left.
