Growing demand for . . . cruise liners?

The Titanic was the first of it's kind to oo and ahh the world. Architects continue to push the limits of the floating fortresses. Today, cruise liners are as larger as a "Nimitz-class aircraft carrier" stated New York Times writer Jad Mouawad.

While entertainment is a high priority, safety is number one. These ships have become so large that they are pushing the limits of safety. Traveling is not enough for most attendees, cruise liners now feature shopping malls, water parks and even a casino.

The economy is still in a lull according to recent research. So why are there is such a demand for cruising? Saving money to travel the planet is extremely costly, so for a fraction of the price why not cruise it? This is the mentality of today's world.

A wise decision, but can people still afford it? Is it wise to still be making these decisions while the majority of polls state that retirement is unaffordable?

We need to make better decisions.
