Public opinion does affect those who are in charge. Speaker Jon A. Boehner stated, "I think the biggest part of Congress's job is to provide proper oversight of the executive branch of government." It seems that this small shut down has opened a few eyes to the government.
Your job is not to bicker amongst themselves, but to unite as a whole, speaking out against what's wrong and passing legislation that's good. The government fights for what we want. The system of checks and balances could now be used for it's actual purpose. To maintain order and justice in the United States.
We may now see a change in the government. Passing meaningful true reform for decades to come.
I would like to know who the iron hand is here that is helping us out. I a hopeful that the Majority Whips are finally performing their duties.
Only the future will tell.
